An injection molting involves the use of an injection machine which pours molten material into a properly shaped piece (the mold). The molten material then cools and hardens in the shape of the mold. This method has many applications such that it is found almost everywhere in the production of diverse products ranging from very tiny plastic components to huge parts for the automobile industry. The processes involved in injection molding include the design of the mould, choice of the material, injection, cooling, and ejection of the product. This method has a number of benefits, among them being high level of accuracy, speed, and the facility to manufacture intricately configured forms. It is also a cheap operation making it suitable for producing goods in bulk.
